Wine Summary
This classic, Bordeaux style blend is a fine example of the synergy that can be achieved with skilful blending of various fruit parcels. The complementary effects of the fruit flavours and tannins of the four varieties, deliver a wine of style and length that is structured, elegant and full in flavour. Halliday gives it 90pts: "Dark garnet-red with a light purple hue. Ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, leaf and cedar. This is smooth and supple with glossy ripe fruit, just enough cabernet leaf to exert its varietal nature and slightly chalky, drying tannins to the finish" (Halliday).
