Its white wines are highly prized. Ocelli is a dazzling fresh white made from its second most popular grape variety - Chardonnay (Sauvignon is its most planted). Exceptional care in the cellar has ensured a wine with a terrific balance of ripe stone fruits - peach, apricot and a touch of guava – with the luscious creamy complexity of time in oak. The cool growing conditions of the Adelaide Hills provide fruit of exceptional depth with great natural acidity. This in turn provides elegant, beautifully balanced wines with great structure. There’s no mistaking the quality. It’s obviously a sensational match to a fine piece of barbecued tuna. Aromatic citrus, gooseberry, and herbal aromas with a mouthwateringly crisp, pure palate. There’s a little bit of texture there as well.
A beautifully rich and intense McLaren Vale classic from 5 Red Star Coriole. It has wonderfully vibrant aromas of fresh green apples and pears with hints of lemon citrus on a mouthfilling, textured palate. Chenin is Coriole's principal white variety and was first planted in 1977. An aromatic wine with great fruit concentration, it also shows an outstanding ability to age. The perfect long lunch wine, it will suit a range of foods, from creamy chicken to fresh seafood to salads and more.
