The original black pig was named Tanuki. He was a cheeky little pork chop. So loved was he by his winemaking owner, it was only right we honoured this special pig with a wine of his own. Produced from hand-selected McLaren Vale Shiraz.

Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances.
