Thorn-Clarke Sandpiper Shiraz 2019

Thorn-Clarke is a top family-owned Barossa outfit, with 5 Red Stars from Halliday and praise from Robert Parker: “the greatest red wine values in the marketplace”. Dave Brookes, writing for the Halliday Wine Companion, is impressed by the value too: "A keenly priced shiraz showing characters of macerated plums and dark berry fruits, mulberry and earth. Hints of purple flowers, spice, red licorice, mocha, berry flan and dried citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine, sandy tannin, some sour cherry acid twang and a medium-length finish showing an array of berry fruits and spice."
