Chalk Hill McLaren Vale Barbera 2016

Chalk Hill is solely dedicated to making small-batch, handcrafted wines. The Harvey family’s grape growing heritage goes back an impressive six generations and they are “one of the most consistent producers of high quality grapes” (Halliday). They planted a wonderful range of Italian and Spanish varieties, which they thought would do brilliantly in Australia. Turns out they're right! Their Barbera shines with mouthwatering bright fruit - cherries, berries, redcurrant, rose petal and spice – on a gently textured palate. It's also gleaming with Gold!
