D'Arenberg The Lucky Lizard Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2022

During summer, native Bearded Dragon lizards find their way into grapes destined for the winery. Luckily for the lizards, the gentleness of our crusher allows them topass through the ordeal slightly shaken, but unharmed. As for the wine it’s a golden delight. A charmingly beautiful scent with peach, apricot, vanilla and white spices. Flavours of nectarine, apple, pear, citrus peel, white pepper and a touh of vanilla. A deft touch of old French oak adds extra complexity and a wonderfully rich and round mouth feel. This is a crisp Chardonnay from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, showing great balance and composure from d’Arenberg’s Osbourne family – a founding member of Australia’s First Family of Australian Wines.
