The ancient, gnarled vines of the Lionheart vineyard, many over 100 years old, are still thriving on their own roots in some of the oldest soils in the world. “This is a delicious full-bodied shiraz, hitting all the right notes. Aromas of dark cherry and boysenberry segue to a slipstream of clove, mace and star anise. The oak, mostly older French and American, cuddles the seams without squeezing them too hard.
