The Wine
At Kilikanoon, winemaker Kevin Mitchell makes Shiraz with biblical names and of biblical proportions. ‘Testament’ is his $44-a-bottle red and regularly wins huge scores from Robert Parker: “fabulous ... sensational fruit ... stunning Shiraz” and the 2015 vintage picked up an impressive 95 points from Halliday. High expectations for the glorious 2016 vintage as well – watch this space!
Dark purple with rich aromas of blackberry, plum and chocolate. 18 months in oak adds warm, spicy notes.
