Angelo Maci is a leading figure in the quality revolution that has occurred over the last two decades. He made this wine purely from Primitivo at his acclaimed cellar, Cantine due Palme.
Another name for Primitivo is Zinfandel, as they call it in the USA. In southern Italy it produces rich, powerful reds with plenty of ripe fruit. A period of oak ageing has infused the wine's generous fruit with notes of spice and vanilla. This weighty red has ripe raspberry, spiced plum and cedar notes. Enjoy with game stews, rich pasta dishes or hearty lasagne.
