Stunning single vineyard Riesling from the Adelaide Hills. Named after the first daughter of the 6th generation of Smeaton lineage, the ‘Sienna’ is a pure expression of true Riesling flavours and reflects the unique terroir and 440 metre altitude of the Martin Hill vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. For over 100 years the Smeaton lineage have been pioneers in the wine industry. In 1892, Henry Richardson, great grandfather of Jan Smeaton, was among the first to plant grapes in the Coonawarra region. In 1996, Jan and her husband John Smeaton carried on Henry Richardson’s legacy by planting 25 hectares at their Martin Hill vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Smeaton Estate has supplied grapes to many of the leading wine brands in Australia.
