The Wine
A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, Tahbilk was awarded James Halliday’s Winery of the Year 2016. It is “a winery steeped in tradition (with National Trust classification), which should be visited at least once by every wine-conscious Australian” . The estate boasts some of the oldest Marsanne sites in the world, and an exceptional winemaking team of Alister Purbrick, Neil Larson and Alan George. “Honeysuckle, beeswax and wisteria on the bouquet, then firm, racy mineral and Meyer lemon on the palate, gaining velocity and depth of fruit flavour as it does... 94 points” (Halliday).
