The Wine
After many years cellaring, we are re-releasing this outstanding 96pt back vintage. The William Randell range of wines was created in honour of Thorn-Clarke family ancestor Captain William Richard Randell (1824 - 1911) who at the age of 28, and without any prior experience, designed and commissioned a vessel that would become the first paddle steamer on the Murray River. This special 96pt Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is grown at Thorn-Clarke's own estate vineyards – St Kitts and Milton Park. Brimming with notes of fresh blackcurrant intertwined with complexing savoury spice. The palate has an integrated French oak influence with notes of toasty cedar accompanied by further notes of briary fruits. A wine with great depth and drive. "... relax and enjoy it... 96pts.
