Wine Summary
Peter, who has sadly passed away, was born in 1930, the fifth generation of Barossa pioneers. He made his first wine aged 17, and earned a big name at some of Barossa’s finest estates. To safeguard the livelihood of growers, he opened his own cellar in the 1970s. With Peter’s word as his bond, growers sold their fruit on a handshake agreement and many of these contracts are still honoured today. The Bond has been crafted to honour Peter and his word, and as a testament to the relationships we continue to nurture. Halliday gives the estate his highest rating, 5 Red Stars, on top of the countless Trophies and Golds they have won so far. Displaying aromas of fresh blueberries, nutmeg and spice with a medium-bodied palate, flavours of raspberry and pomegranate jam, soft tannins and a lovely Turkish delight savoury finish.
