The Wine
Los Compañeros is a blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Tempranillo. Perfect blending companions, Tempranillo provides aromatic lift and a rustic textural element to the soft richness of the Shiraz. No new oak here, so the fruit really sings. Well paired with a generous serving of Osso Bucco. " juicy, vivacious and slurpy" says Mike Bennie in the Halliday Wine Companion, suggesting also you might want to give it a slight chill. Huon Hooke in The Real Review adds that it has "Good focus, intensity and style, a fruit-driven wine with excellent varietal character in a cooler-grown mode. Great value for money."
