The name of this Victorian estate, Tabilk-tabilk means ‘place of many waterholes,’ a name that aptly describes the abundance of the landscape. A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, it was also the proud recipient of James Halliday’s Winery of the Year award in 2016. Its renowned Marsannes, steely when young, silkily textured with time, are an absolute must-try. Multi-award winning with an enviable 93pts from Halliday, this is an elevated floral drop with citrus and tropical fruits enlivened by bright mineral acidity. Classic honeysuckle and toasty marmalade characters make this a lip-smacking white to savour.
