The Wine
This rosé is a deliight – in bothname and nature, this is gorgeous Grenache pretty and satisfying in pink from Grenache masters, who won Halliday's Wine of the Year 2026 – with a Grenache of course. Thistledown was founded in 2010 by Giles Cooke and Fergal Tynan, both Master of Wine. Giles Cooke – historian and lover of the world’s finest Grenache – became tired of inter-national stereotypes of Australian wine. They work closely with growers throughout McLaren Vale, Barossa and the Adelaide Hills. This beautifully pale rosé has lovely aromatic wild strawberry and cranberry notes on the nose. The palate is tangy, dry and textural with creamy berry fruit and a deliciously moreish finish.
