Once upon a time there was an acclaimed McLaren Vale winemaker, who kept pigs. A big black pig called Tanuki was his first. He loved Tanuki so much he named a delicious, new Shiraz in his honour and found that customers (and show judges) loved The Black Pig as much as he did – and the hugely popular Black Pig family of McLaren Vale wines was born.
A new branch of the family was born when one of his pigs gave birth to 16 adorable piglets. The 16 Little Black Pigs label is used for fabulous wines crafted using fruit from premium sites across South Australia, wines that delight whenever we offer them.
