A three-time ‘Bushing King’, Michael was named best winemaker on the planet at the world’s biggest wine show and Halliday notes his <i> “wine quality is unfailingly excellent”</i>. This McLaren Vale heavyweight is divinely good and shows Michael’s wonderful handiwork at its very best. It brims with deep blueberry, mocha, dark olive and liquorice with a lovely mouthfeel, the fruit and tannins all in perfectly pitched harmony.

Approximately only 181 cases of this tasty little McLaren Vale Sangiovese have been produced, an exciting new addition to the Marauding Vintners range. McLaren Vale is the home to many exciting alternate varieties, especially traditional Italian and Spanish ones. Sangiovese may traditionally be an Italian grape, but it has done well in the Mediterranean-like climate of the Vale. It has enjoyed its time in the sun and has emerged as a beautiful red wine expressing red fruits, subtle hints of mocha and layered with well integrated tannin that'll take on any plate of cured meats.
