Dowie Doole was founded in 1995 by Drew Dowie and Norm Doole, and grew under winemaker and managing director Chris Thomas. The estate has vineyards in two of McLaren Vale’s most prized sub-regions Blewitt Springs and Tatachilla and produces very impressive reds.

“A 65/35% blend, crushed and destemmed, cultured yeast, 10-15 days on skins, matured for 12 months in 80% American and 20% French oak (40% new). Bright colour; as powerful and complex as the vinification would suggest. "It's luscious, yet distinctly elegant. Representative of a new generation, but also ex this great vintage... 95pts. Great Value” (Halliday Wine Companion, James Halliday). To 2037.

Wine Summary
Bleasdale is “one of the most historic wineries in Australia ... in 2015 celebrating 165 years of continuous winemaking by the direct descendants of the founding Potts family.” (Halliday). Among many major awards, they’ve won the Jimmy Watson Trophy and winemaker Paul Hotker, a “master blender”, was named Halliday’s Winemaker of the Year 2018. “It’s uncomplicated but a delicious wine nonetheless. The right amount of fruit and spice with some earthy-savoury flavours ensuring it isn’t one-dimensional... 91pts. Great Value” (Halliday Wine Companion, Jane Faulkner). To 2025.

Wine Summary
First produced in 1995, the Fox Creek Chardonnay is barrel fermented with a portion matured for 10 months in French oak on yeast lees. This wine variety exhibits golden peach, rockmelon and apricot flavours, rounded out by a rich, creamy texture. On the palate, look forward to white peach, nectarine, apple and lemon over subtle spicy notes and lightly roasted nuts that combine to provide an attractive and layered bouquet. Simply delicious.

Wine Summary
While Irvine has built a massive reputation on delivering Australia and the world some of the country's best Merlot, it is their vibrant and delicious Spring Hill range that is rocking our socks at the moment. Soft, layered and extremely approachable, this is the wine you will want to be sipping this season. Minimal skin contact, cool ferment and some post ferment yeast contact makes this a Pinot Gris beyond reproach.

Wine Summary
“Howard Park, run by Burch Family Wines, is one of Western Australia’s premier, family-owned wineries” (Halliday). Throughout its 30-year history, the estate has been “prolific” encompassing two generations, two wine regions and four vineyards. This expressive Cabernet comes from Miamup in the southern part of WA’s famous Margaret River. It’s a lavish example of the style.

"A faithful portrait of Margaret River cabernet, calm and persuasive, the cassis/blackcurrant fruit enhanced by 18 months in French barriques and (relatively) soft tannins...93pts" (Halliday).
