(This is now labelled mourvèdre, not mataro). This explores the mysterious, dark and spicy side of the grape, with wild Alpine herbs, tarry dark fruits, dried orange peel, allspice, brown cardamom and cassia bark, all cinched in with mouthwatering salinity, craggy varietal tannins and a savoury (old) oak-aged dryness.
