Selected for their potential to deliver super premium fruit, only the most concentrated and expressive blocks are considered for this blend. The Shiraz component is predominately from Wrattonbully where rich but shallow soils promote balance and intensity, matched with the Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon known for its intensity and complexity. This wine is only produced in selected vintages. Dark and inky with layers of dark fruit, ripe plum, mulberry, and blackcurrant—alongside hints of cocoa, licorice, and dried fig.
"The introduction to this wine is pure seduction. Mint, melted dark chocolate, sweet blackcurrant, coconut, Nutella and a general impression that you’re about to dive into a rich, dark, hedonistic pool. All these first impressions are confirmed when you take your first mouthful, which is faithful to the nose but then adds a significant swagger of tannin. This wine is certainly seductive but it’s also serious, in style, and serious in quality too. Indeed the word profound comes to mind. There’s some alcohol warmth here but this is an outstanding wine, concentrated, warm and expansive. 95 points.
