Mountadam Vineyards High Eden range is the selection of the best parcels of fruit from the Estate. The ‘Patriarch’ has always been Mountadams flagship Shiraz, recognising the Patriarch and founder of Mountadam, David Wynn. Estate vineyard; matured in 100% new French oak barriques. Full ripeness and generous new oak make for a powerful Mountadam that loses something of the detail of this fabled high site in the wake of such proportions. Spicy, ripe blueberry, blackberry and black plum fruit with notes of prunes, warmed by full alcohol, structured by the firm, fine grip of classy new French oak. Perfect with heartier dishes or chargrilled meats.
