The Wine
Yarrunga Field is as much "Aussie sunshine in a glass" (Oz Clarke/Jilly Goolden) as it was when it was launched over 20 years ag, as it was then these wines are once again being made by Sam Trimboli, Given Sam's prodigious medal-winning recored it's no surprise to see this sporting Gold and a Trophy. A few refinements have been made, tweaks to the mix of grapes, but ultimately it exudes fruitiness, freshness and intensity in perfect measure. And at 12.5% it makes a terrific pre-dinner drink. There's no doubt why so many customers just keep coming back for more – it’s just so easy drinking. Serve chilled on its own or with spicy prawn or squid stir-fry.
