Another lovely and stylish vintage for this attractive rosé with scores of 91,92 & 93pts. Scarlet Ladybird from Zonte’s Footstep is always an attractive choice for lovers of fresh pinks.
For Sam Kim Wine Orbit "It's finely lifted on the nose, showing raspberry, red apple, lemon zest, and white floral nuances. The palate displays juicy fruit intensity with elegant texture and bright acidity, making it mouth-watering and delightfully appealing. A blend of Grenache & Cabernet Sauvignon. 93pts."
Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot notes that: "It is named in honour of the ladybirds who prey on many of the tiny creatures which afflict vines and fruit. Love the label. The colour is that of a burnt orange sunset. This is a Rosé with oomph. There is good freshness here in this wine of medium weight, with a fine line of acidity. A gentle lingering finish but overall, quite a bright and refreshing wine. The nose has hints of strawberries and other red berries, animal flesh, florals and even a touch of earthiness. A serious Rosé for enjoying over the next two to four years. 92pts".
And for Ray Jordan WinePilot, it: "Opens with a lovely wave of strawberry and cream. Some subtle savory notes. Palate is light-bodied, but there’s good intensity here. It’s thoroughly smooth and seamless and has a slightly satiny texture. Clean, crisp, and ideal in the short term. 91pts"
