Five generations. One family. An unwavering commitment to the land.
About angove family winemakers
In 1886, Dr William Thomas Angove arrived in South Australia from Cornwall and planted a small vineyard, the humble beginning of one of Australia's most celebrated wine families. Five generations later, the family oversees close to 260 hectares of certified organic vineyards and some of McLaren Vale's most admired single-vineyard wines, having pioneered everything from Riverland viticulture to the invention of the wine cask along the way.

Meet the Winemakers
Head Winemaker Tony Ingle brings more than 25 years of experience to Angove, shaped by vintages across France's Rhône Valley and South Australia's McLaren Vale. His minimal intervention philosophy, wild yeast fermentations, certified organic viticulture and a deep respect for the land, ensures every wine is a genuine expression of its origin. Alongside Tony, the fifth-generation Angove family continues to drive the business forward with the same pioneering spirit that has defined the family since 1886.

The Vineyard
Angove farm across two complementary South Australian landscapes: the warm, sun-drenched Nanya Vineyard in the Riverland, one of the Southern Hemisphere's largest certified organic estates, and the premium Warboys Vineyard in McLaren Vale, certified organic and biodynamic. The Warboys is the jewel in the family's crown, producing old-vine Shiraz, Grenache and Fiano of exceptional concentration and character. Together, these vineyards give Angove an unmatched breadth of certified organic fruit across South Australia.
