One of our team members came up with the concept for this lovely label when we mentioned a classy new white was on the way. The photograph, taken by her father of her stunningly beautiful mother Winsome, is kept in a family album referred to as The Notebook. This is a gorgeous summer sipper.
Lemon sherbet on the nose with a dash of citrus blossom and spice. A crunchy Riverland Riesling with a fleshy fruit palate and a finish that’s balanced in fruit sweetness and acidity. Crafted under the expert eye of award-winning winemaker, Alex Russell.
We're familiar with the mighty reds of Chapel Hill, but did you know they also do divine whites? They do - and this gorgeously crisp and refreshing Verdelho shows the style off to perfection. It features the tropical flavours you’d expect of Sav Blanc, minus the cut grass. There is a real elegance here.
Some of Australia’s finest and most expensive white wines come from the Adelaide Hills. Indeed, it’s “absolutely stuffed to the gills with winemaking royalty” (Max Allen, Crush). The cool growing conditions of the Adelaide Hills provide fruit of exceptional depth with great natural acidity. This in turn provides elegant, beautifully balanced wines with great structure. There’s no mistaking the quality. It’s obviously a sensational match to a fine piece of barbecued tuna. Aromatic citrus, gooseberry, and herbal aromas with a mouthwateringly crisp, pure palate. There’s a little bit of texture there as well.
A beautifully rich and intense McLaren Vale classic from 5 Red Star Coriole. It has wonderfully vibrant aromas of fresh green apples and pears with hints of lemon citrus on a mouthfilling, textured palate. Chenin is Coriole's principal white variety and was first planted in 1977. An aromatic wine with great fruit concentration, it also shows an outstanding ability to age. The perfect long lunch wine, it will suit a range of foods, from creamy chicken to fresh seafood to salads and more.
