Malbec is a grape close to Sam's heart. His wife Maria, who works with him, is from Argentina, so perhaps that's not surprising. He also has a passion for the Durif grape and has done for decades. His car licence plate even reads 'DURIF'. What he loves most though is making wines that wine lovers adore. And he has been doing that for years very well indeed. We've worked with him for decades, and this shy, modest man is simply brilliant at creating wines that show judges – and our customers – love! His grandfathers back in Italy began the winemaking tradition of the Trimboli family, they would be very proud of Sam.
Our friends – the Marauding Vintners – know exactly where to track down fruit of exceptional character. They ventured to vineyards in McLaren Vale and are proud to introduce you to Capt. Cabernet. “A dashing presence of noble birth, well travelled, able to mix in all companies but happy to stand proudly alone. Broad-shouldered and smooth, he’ll add a combination of class and excitement, but when the chips are on the table, he’ll never let you down…” Bold, polished, of great stature – but with a devil-may-care, attractive appeal – a safe bet at any table.
"Condenses the beauty of Grampians shiraz into a well-priced wine from the lively blackberry fruits, the scent of bush mint, bay leaf and the focus on ripe, medium-weight features, it's spot on. A big mouthful of flavour for a tiny price...90pts" (Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion).
The Peos family have been growing fruit for many generations, while the wines are made at Forest Hill – what a striking combo! Their ‘Four Jacks’ Merlot is delicious. On the nose, there's perfumed violet, black plum and spice notes. The palate has rip plum and blue fruits flavours mixed with sweet milk chocolate tannin, and a smooth, silky finish.
Margaret River is renowned for its intensely flavoured, distinctive Cabernet Merlot ‘Bordeaux’ style blends, and this rich, luscious red from the Credaro family’s Due Fratelli (‘Two Brothers’) range certainly shows its style. It boasts a delicious melange of black and red fruits, some nice herb notes, spicy French oak and fine tannins on a smooth, long finish. A great one for sharing over a lamb roast when the whole family is around.
Like the famous Albacore tuna, the team behind this wine have endless determination. Their niche is selecting the best grapes and bringing them together to create well-integrated, varietally expressive wines. This Albacore Reserve strikes the perfect balance between the peppery, black-fruit Shiraz and cassis-laden Cabernet. It's a classic Australian blend, made with premium parcels of fruit.
The great Wolf Blass used to call South Australia's Langhorne Creek his 'secret weapon' - that's how good its fruit is! This double-barrelled big red is loaded to the gunwales with rich black fruit and luscious chocolate characters, and shows the region's big, rich full flavours off to perfection. Get out the big glasses for this!

The cool climate offering presents classic pepper, forest and spices on the nose with generous blackberry on the palate and a firm tannin structure. Perfect for pairing with spicy Sichuan cuisine or succulent barbecue meats.
Indulge in some Coonawarra perfection: “The Australian wine industry worked out relatively early on that it had the perfect spot for Cabernet Sauvignon and that spot was Coonawarra” (Jancis Robinson). The Italian families of the Riverina have been producing royally good wines for years and now the secret is out! In critic James Halliday’s words... Calabria Family Wines “consistently delivers exceptional value for money across the entire range”. Did you know? Bill Calabria, the leading light behind this wine, received a Queen’s Birthday Honour for his services to charity and the wine industry as a whole. Lovely intensity of rich fruit with layers of blackcurrant and herb flavours and spicy toasty oak notes. The tannins are firm, the finish smooth, long and powerful.
The ex-PRESS-ion range comprises hand-selected wines that express the best for each variety, region and terroir. So, as you might expect, this Barossa Shiraz is full of expression! Bold, satisfying and delicious. Look forward toAromas of dark forest fruits backed by a fruity, oak-laden and flavoursome palate layered with fine tannin and leading to a plummy finish. This is an ex-PRESS.ion of variety, region and terroir from Salena Estate, one of Australia's largest family owned estates.
The Moss Brothers name has been a hallmark of high quality Margaret River wines for over 30 years ... one taste of this inky rich and velvety beauty will show you why! It shows all the distinctive Margaret River intensity and flavour (blackcurrant, herbs and spice) on a long, smooth palate. Delicious!
From the edge of the Snowy Mountains comes this lighter style Pinot, from a region which has become a consistent source of Chardonnay and Pinot fruit, mainly used in sparkling wines. Bright ruby in colour, delicate aromas of strawberries and roses lead to strawberry and pomegranate flavours balanced by juicy acidity. Would dance nicely with a roasted duck and cranberry salad.
