The Languedoc region of France is a treasure trove of good-value, well-ripened red wines – and Clefs du Pontif is a perfect example. Perhaps not quite in the same league as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but nevertheless a similarly juicy blend of Grenache and Syrah with ripe red fruit, wild herbs and spice and certainly without the hefty price tag!
