Forrest The Doctors' Sauvignon Blanc 2022

The Doctors range of wines is the result of Dr John Forrest's quest for a full-flavoured but lower alcohol wine began. At first he wanted to emulate the wonderful Rieslings of Germany that had all the flavour, balance and structure – but a lower alcohol level. And the range grew from there. Dr Forrest and his wife Brigid (also a doctor) use techniques in the vineyard to allow the grapes to obtain maximum flavour, but keep sugar (and therefore alcohol) levels down. As Dr Forrest proudly points out, the wines have such structure, tannin, depth and balance that even experienced tasters would struggle to pick out the lower alcohol wine in a blind tasting line up! Full flavour – 9.5% alcohol!
