Fiano, a white Italian variety is still relatively rare in Australia, but it is being seen more and more, and proving very popular, Not surprising when you taste Fianos like this one from the talentented Bryan Currie of 5-star-rated Hungerford Hill. Toni Paterson in The Halliday Wine Companion rated it 95pts calling it “An outstanding fiano with energy, weight, length and layers. Pure, inviting aromas of passionfruit and green guava, followed by glacé pear and custard apple flavours with welcomed savouriness and lively spice".
