Savour a Shiraz trio between 4 and 6 years of age, in Tahbilk’s Victorian 94pt beauty “quite stunning – and delicious” (Halliday) along with multi-Gold Kilikanoon favourite Baroota Reserve and 91pt Sevenhill’s Single Vineyard ‘Inigo’ Shiraz 2019, the oldest red here. From WA sip a 93pt Margaret River Cabernet, and a velvety Merlot from Blackwood Valley, 150km east of WA’s most famous region. Then back in South Australia, there’s a multi Gold, 97pt Tempranillo from Zonte’s Footstep of ”terrific fruit purity” (Wine Orbit).
