Very attractive Pinot Grigio, with nicely balanced acidity and a little weight and texture, from Hunter born-and-bred Aaron Mercer. Aaron Mercer spent years at Tamburlaine, and had stints at Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood, before setting up on his own. More than a quarter-century after Mercer first started crafting wine, the Hunter Valley-born vigneron recently won Rising Star of the Year at The Real Review awards, and has been nominated for Halliday’s Dark Horse Winery of the Year 2027. He’s also worked in California, France and Germany so brings a great deal of experience to his winemaking, with a great small-batch range from premium Hunter Valley sites, Tumbarumba and Orange.
