On Ricky’s first date with his future wife, Rianna, he bought a bottle of Leeuwin Estate’s Art series Chardonnay, they’ve now not only been married for 22 years but have set up a very serious wine business, working with winemaking veteran Ben Riggs and wine marketer David Krenich. As Ben says: “I will never make anything less than a high-quality wine with the Ponting name on it – that’s a promise.” The fruit for'Top Order' Chardonnay was hand-selected from the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills, where the lower temperatures allow for tempered, even ripening. It is beautifully fragrant, balanced with natural acidity, and elegantly layered and textural. It's name is inspired by the dedication and focus of the Australian Top Order Ricky was such a successful part of for so long, driven to deliver at the highest level!
