Yalumba 'The Cigar' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Yalumba is a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, and “has always been a serious player at the top end of full-bodied Australian reds” (Halliday). This is a very classy five year old Coonawarra Cabernet, named for Coonawarra’s distinctively shaped strip of terra rossa soil. “Expressive, leafy-edged fruit characters of blackberry and blackcurrant with hints of briar, licorice, dark soy, Old Jamaica chocolate, tobacco and clove. 94pts".
