It’s certainly true of their East Wing Shiraz, – made using fruit from their Eden Valley vineyards – it’s been a hugely popular exclusive for us for many years now. Perhaps no one did more to elevate the Barossa to cult status than Peter Lehmann, nicknamed Baron of the Barossa, who famously said: “When God created Shiraz, he did so with the Barossa in mind”. He was a Pastor’s Son – giving our exclusive its name. It’s a hearty, big spice Shiraz, with a l-o-n-g list of Gold-medal vintages, this 2022 vintage does its forebears proud. Limited Release Shiraz is carefully crafted from grapes grown in the Stockwell area to the north of the region, Bethany in the south and Angaston to the east. Krondorf’s ‘Into the Vines’, an exclusive from a Barossa village rooted in winemaking history, has scooped Double Gold in its first two vintages, while RedHeads’ King of the Barossa, in its old-school Barossa bottle, sports a Gold and a rare Grand Gold.
