What type of wine is Eden Valley known for?
Eden Valley is famous for its Rieslings with fresh, floral aromatics and pristine fruit. The region’s cooler climate means it’s also well-suited to Chardonnay. In the reds, rich yet refined Shiraz is king, while Cabernet Sauvignon is also of exceptional quality with silky finesse.
Where is the Eden Valley wine region?
Just north of Adelaide, you’ll find Barossa – Australia’s most iconic wine region. But Barossa is actually made up of two sub-regions – the famous Barossa Valley known for its big, blockbuster Shiraz, and the cooler climate Eden Valley, sitting at around 500 metres above sea level. This high elevation helps produce wines of great complexity and elegance.
