What type of wine is Victoria known for?
Victoria is best known for its cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, particularly from the Yarra Valley, which together define much of the region’s reputation for elegance and finesse.
Shiraz from Heathcote is another standout, celebrated for its rich depth and spice. The state also produces excellent sparkling wines, crisp Riesling, sweet wines like Rutherglen Muscat, and innovative small-batch styles – with a community of adventurous winemakers constantly pushing boundaries.
